In 2010 several parties in the Northern Netherlands joind forces, this resulted in the establishement of Water Alliance. With the establishement of Water Alliance as cluster- and networking organisation the development of WaterCampus Leeuwarden is reinforced. Moreover, Water Alliance supports the progress of the Dutch water technology sector. The Water Alliance is established by knowledge institutes, businesses and regional governments.
